Meal Plans Week of 12-5-10

December is already going way too fast.  Too much to do.  Not enough time.  This week will be another busy one for sure.  I basically have 2 weeks to get ready for Christmas.  So this week is shopping/wrapping.  And next week is baking/cleaning.

I'm hoping to get caught up on posting.  Last week our computer died.  So we're using the laptop for now.  So I haven't been uploading photos, etc.  But it looks like it'll be a little while yet before our computer is back in order.  So I'm going to do what I can with the laptop to get caught up.  It doesn't help that Rebecca has been waking up around 6:30 every day lately instead of 8.  So my time has been very limited.  But hopefully I'll get a chance to post some recent recipes.

Last week was quite productive.  I put up a lot of Christmas deco, cleaned, made and decorated gingerbread cookies (recipe to come), made chocolate pudding (recipe to come), made and froze hashbrowns, cooked and froze squash, made mouthwash (recipe to come), made and froze soaked tortillas, made and froze tomato soup, made crispy pecans and walnuts, made peppermint stick ice cream, did a fair amount of Christmas shopping and did quite a bit of sewing.
This week will be busy, busy.  Today is church in the morning.  I'll be helping with Little Lambs.  This afternoon/evening we're heading to Lansing for a kid's show.  We'll be going with my brother, SIL and nephew.  After the show we're going out for dinner.  We're all very excited since we haven't seen them since October.  Rebecca is especially excited to see Carson.  Tomorrow Rebecca starts gymnastics!  She is very excited to wear her new leotard.  And I have to say she's the cutest little gymnast I've ever seen :)  We used to always grocery shop on Monday mornings, so I'm still trying to figure out what the best time/day is for that now.  But I'm thinking we might go Monday afternoon this week.  Tuesday morning I have to pick up our milk, drop it off at home and then head to a friend's house for a playdate.  Justin has class in the evening.  Wednesday morning is Kindermusik.  If I don't go grocery shopping on Monday I might try to squeeze it in on our way home from KM.  Justin has a meeting at church that night.  Thursday and Friday are both open right now.  Which means those are my Christmas shopping days :)  Saturday we are getting our Christmas tree.

In terms of extras, not sure I'll have time for much.  I would really like to make something with my sourdough.  I've been neglecting it for a while, so I need to keep it going.  I'm thinking I'll make a batch of muffins.  I would also like to make a big batch of pancakes to freeze for easy breakfasts.  Other than that, if there's time Rebecca and I could work on Christmas cookies.  Or sweet bread.  Get a head start on our holiday baking.  And aside from food we need to order our Christmas cards (hopefully today...so behind on that!), get them sent out once we get them, wrap presents and make sure I have all of my holiday meals/snacks planned so I can get started next week on prepping.
And just for those that are curious.  Here is a belly shot from a week ago :)  I am now 17w 1d.
