Mid November. I can't believe Thanksgiving is next week! Time sure is flying by. I guess that means we're keeping plenty busy. This week is a somewhat "normal" week. In addition to our usual activities I have a nursery cmt meeting on Monday night, and Justin has worship team on Wednesday night. So we'll need early dinner both of those nights.
For food I want to use up some stuff from the freezer/fridge/pantry. Plus continue to use fall flavors. Here are the potential extras for the week: applesauce, baking with pumpkin or apples, cooking/freezing squash.
S - leftover white chili and beer bread (lunch); leftover tilapia and veggies (me), grilled cheese (Justin) (dinner)
M - (nursery cmt, early dinner) - love birds, roasted Brussels sprouts
T - (meatless) - apple dumpling muffins, fruit, cereal (breakfast); pumpkin soup, beer bread (dinner)
W - (WT, early dinner) - love birds, peas
Th - pumpkin muffins, cereal (breakfast), leftovers/misc. (dinner)
F - TBD from freezer...corn chowder and pumpkin cornbread
S - spaghetti, veggies
Looks like a great week of meals. We're on the same wavelength with cleaning out the freezer and pantry again. The lamb with the potatoes sounds interesting.
ReplyDeleteI have some lamb roast to use up. And I have a little tomato sauce. I usually have leftover chili when we do baked potato bar. So I figured I'd cut up the lamb and cook it with the sauce and some spices...have kind of the same effect. It's totally experimental and just to use some stuff up. No new recipe or anything like that. Just a thrown together concoction for leftovers :P
