Meal Plans Week of 10-17-10

Made it through another week and passed the 10 week mark.  So far each week seems tougher...I can do less and eat less.  Hopefully only a few more weeks until things start to gradually improve.  On a positive note I did my last shot this morning.  So excited to be done with those!!  I'm sure Justin is too :P  Time to let my back side heal a bit :P  We did manage to squeeze in a few fun outings last week - our 9 week ultrasound (everything looks good!!), kindermusik, a Calvin soccer game, MOPS and my nephew's first birthday party.  I'm sure today will be a little rough after a day of travel...and getting up at least 4 times (I think...lost count) to use the bathroom last night :P  But at least I don't have to help with Little Lambs today.  I can just sit in church :)  And then relax the rest of the day.

Plenty going on this week as usual.  Today is church.  Monday is groceries, and I have nursery cmt in the evening.  Tuesday I might go to the mall to do some shopping.  A rarity for us.  I got a great Old Navy coupon that would allow me to get some maternity clothes and some free stuff for Rebecca.  I haven't actually shopped for myself for clothes in over a year.  So that will be a treat.  Wednesday will be a bit crazy.  And our plans still aren't finalized.  We have Kindermusik in the morning.  In the afternoon there is a Calvin men's soccer game against Hope.  Rebecca would love it.  And it would be exciting.  But we also have our co-op pick up, and Justin has worship team.  The game is at 4...across town.  We have to be at the co-op right at 5:45, Justin driving separately.  And Justin has to leave right from the co-op to get to church on time.  Plus we have to eat somewhere in there.  So either Rebecca and I will eat a picnic dinner at the game (and still have to leave the game early to go straight to the co-op) and have Justin eat on his own at home and meet us at the co-op.  Or we'll all eat early at home (if we don't go to the game) and then go to the co-op in separate cars.  We'll see.  I'm planning to stay home Thurs. - Sat...to work on potty training!  This seems to be taking forever.  And it's tough for Rebecca to learn when there is no consistency...sometimes diapers, sometimes pull ups, sometimes underwear.  So I want a few days that she can wear underwear all day.  Hopefully that will really help.  Friday evening and Saturday morning Justin will be gone for a council retreat.

As usual not much planned for extras.  Just doing my best to keep regular meals on the table.  Even that is getting tough as not much sounds good to me these days.  But I still try to make sure Rebecca and Justin are well fed.  Last week the only extra thing I made was a batch of vanilla ice cream.  If I'm up for it this week I could make dried apples and/or apple pie.  And maybe a new batch of sourdough english muffins.  Maybe I can do those on my days home with Rebecca.

Let's see if I can get this post finished up here.  Just had to get Rebecca resettled for the 2nd time this morning.  Must be from such a long, off schedule day yesterday.  Hopefully she can get a quick snooze in yet before it's time to get ready for church.

Still sticking with the breakfast options.  Here's what's on the menu.

  1. Hope you can get lots of rest in today. Sounds like a fun week! I'm looking forward to finally seeing what favorite casserole is... I remember you posted 2nd favorite casserole a while back, but I don't think you've posted favorite casserole, have you?
