I bought a stand mixer!!!! I bake all the time. I make cakes. I like to make everything from scratch. But I've never had or even used a stand mixer. Everything has been by hand. I have wanted one for some time, and now I finally have one. After a year of earning points through our health insurance (I had to do weekly records of meals, exercise, etc.) I got a $200 gift card for Lowe's. That combined with money from jury duty and a few cakes got me to this lovely addition to my kitchen :)
I don't know yet where it will reside. My space is limited. But I can't wait to try it out!
Congrats!!! :) That's awesome that you got a $200 gift card from the insurance company - wow! I've never heard of that! I like the color you picked, too - that blue is pretty. I hope it does everything you want it to! I thought you would go for one of the bigger ones... if I'd known you just wanted the Artisan, I could have gotten you one for free from my Grandma! She has one and doesn't like it and has tried giving it to me (and others) several times, but I have the Pro-600, so there's been no need for it... and all my aunts and cousins all have their own, too. You'll love it, all the same, I'm sure, though! Congrats! :)
