We planned our garden and ordered our seeds a few weeks ago. We'll see how things turn out with our new, extended garden. Here's what we're planning for this year:
Fedco (seeds):
Carrots - Danvers organic, Nantes Fancy organic, Yellowstone
Yellow beans - Golden Rocky organic
Green beans - Provider organic
Shell beans - Cannellini
Spinach - Tyee organic
Lettuce - Black Seeded Simpson organic
Zucchini - Raven, Golden
Jungs:
Sweet potatoes - Vardaman
Red potatoes - Pontiac
Flowerland (local nursery - plants):
Peppers
Broccoli
Tomatoes
Brussels sprouts
Cauliflower

Pontiac potatoes are usually poor keepers. If you like red potatoes that keep well into winter try Norlands. Dad
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great list - and many similarities to my list of seeds. :) I've got to get around to posting mine soon, too. I've been working on my fruit tree post... I hate not having any good chunks of time anymore that allow me to actually complete an entire post!
ReplyDeleteGood tip on the red potatoes. We did Pontiacs last year and I noticed they weren't very good keepers, but they had such high yields! I'll have to remember Norlands for next year.
