Butterscotch Bars

With all this chilly rainy weather Rebecca and I have lots of time for baking.  Yesterday we tried another new recipe from Heavenly Homemakers for butterscotch bars.  I love how easy this recipe is.  Just one bowl and a spoon :)  A great one for kids to help with.  And really quick...so they don't get bored.  The best part...they taste great!  It's kind of like a big pan of chewy butterscotch :)  There are 2 sticks of butter in it...so you probably don't want to eat them all the time :P  But a fun, easy, yummy treat once in a while for sure!
Butterscotch Bars

1 cup melted butter
1 3/4 cups sucanat (I used a combo of brown sugar and cane sugar...mostly brown)
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour

Stir melted butter and sucanat together. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing well. Stir in flour and mix until well combined. Pour batter into a 9×13 inch baking pan. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes.
