Meal Plans Week of 4-4-10

Happy Easter!!  Christ is risen!  The Lord is risen indeed!!!  What a great way to start the week...celebrating Christ's ultimate sacrifice and defeat of death to give us eternal life.  Something to be celebrated every single day.

First full week in April.  We will be fairly busy.  Today is Easter, so of course we'll be doing Easter dinner.  We're not visiting any family today.  I'll be making dinner for the 3 of us this evening.  I went with simple food this year to stick with my April goals and because I have a cake to finish today.  The only thing I had to buy for our meal was the ham....and it was on sale.  Not bad.  Tomorrow is Justin's birthday.  We did our official celebration yesterday, so nothing big going on.  I'll be grocery shopping in the morning.  Justin will be out with the guys in the evening for the NCAA game :)  Tuesday Justin will probably be out in the evening for orchestra.  Our plans for Wed. are TBD right now.  If the weather is decent we'll be going to a Whitecaps game (our birthday outing for Justin).  If not we'll stay home and go to a game some other time.  No Kindermusik this week because of spring break.  Thursday Justin has class.  Friday my BIL and SIL will be here for dinner.  No plans yet for Sat.  We'll see what the weather's like.  I was hoping to visit my grandma this week, but as usual just when we want to make plans we get sick.  Very frustrating.  Maybe next week.

I haven't planned too many extra baking projects so far this week.  I'm hoping to get some cleaning done instead.  But we'll see.  Maybe we'll end up doing more than I think.  I already made frosting this morning.  This afternoon I'll be frosting and decorating a birthday cake for Justin to bring to work tomorrow.  I'll also be doing some baking this week for our dinner guests on Friday.  And in line with my April goals I'll try to stay a step ahead and work on planning next week's meals based on this week's sales...which means I have to have things planned by tomorrow morning!  I better get going :P
