Almost forgot about this. I can't belive it's the end of April. And yet I'm soooooo glad it's the end of April. Bring on May! April has been a very crazy/busy month. And the weather has been so wet and gloomy. But we survived. Lots of baby prep. Birthday parties. Diet changes. Swelling, swelling and more swelling :P I think my legs might burst (literally) if it gets any worse. All kinds of stuff. Here's how it went.
FOOD
1. Eating for pregnancy, specifically the 3rd trimester - omega-3 fats - fish or fish oil. Continue to eat seafood at least once a week - check.
2. Eat mostly GAPS-legal food - check.
3. Eat grain free (aside from a splurge for Rebecca's birthday cake :) - check.
4. Eat coconut oil daily and plenty of other healthy fat (butter, lard, EVOO) - check.
5. Reduce sugar intake - I mostly only eat honey. Small amounts of organic sugar in some boughten yogurt.
6. Eat raw egg yolks more often - check. I eat 1 - 3 every day. And I found that I can even eat them plain. This morning I had an egg yolk mixed with avocado chunks and sprinkled with sea salt. Mmmm.
7. Make/freeze/eat regularly beef broth - check. I've frozen a bunch of beef broth and been eating both beef and chicken broth every week.
8. New probioitic - tried one pill...way too much die off. This will have to wait.
9. Avoid foods that I'm sensitive to - check. Plus found I can't handle nightshades like tomatoes and peppers.
potatoes, oats, rice, raw apples, bananas, carrots, raw spinach, black beans, any raw food that is really hard.
10. Baking - check.

*special dessert for Justin's birthday - butterscotch pudding and chocolate trifle
*work treats for Justin to celebrate his birthday, graduation and the new baby
*treats for Kindermusik family night in May (if we can make it :)
*hospital and early days at home easy snacks for me - not counting on the hospital to have any nourishing food/GAPS-friendly stuff. (gf breakfast bars, gf granola, crispy nuts)
*snacks for Rebecca and guests while I'm in the hospital (graham crackers, cookies, easy breakfast items)
**I also tried lots of grain free baked goods. I'm having fun exploring a new type of baking.
11. Continue Sunday night fun/finger food night, and do breakfast one night a week - check.
12. Freezer foods - plan, make and freeze all of the meals for Rebecca, Justin and grandparents while I'm in the hospital and a few easy meals for when I get home - check.
HEALTH
1. Healthy lifestyle series - gluten/grains/GAPS - check.
2. EFT - continue to do it at least 3x a week - have not kept up with this for a while. I'm holding off on some of that kind of stuff until I get my gut in check.
3. Kegels - continue to do them every day - check.
4. Continue reading/writing rational thoughts - did some, but didn't find it necessary.
FAMILY/PERSONAL
1. Be creative - 1 birthday cake - check.
2. Activities and Outings - check.

c. MOPS (meeting April 15)
d. Gymnastics - done at the end of April (so thankful to be done!!!)

3. Rebecca - some things to do with Rebecca this month - check.

d. 3 year check up - passed with flying colors.
4. Baby prep - CHECK! Things are ready. Bring on the baby :)

e. put pack 'n' play in bedroom
f. stock house supplies (TP, soap, toothpaste, etc.)
g. clean/prep house for guests/get basement ready

i. research vaccine schedule/discuss with ped - he is totally fine with the modified schedule I showed him.
j. stock meds (probiotic, CLO, vitamins, etc.)
k. make email/announcement list
l. organize freezers
5. Clean - anything :)
6. Birthday party - check.
7. Finish basement bathroom - we just have to hang a towel rod (Justin will do that today). We'll paint later.
