Last week was another busy one. The major project of the week was having our basement shower stall tiled. It took 3 full days. So glad that's over! It looks nice. The other big thing (forced by the bathroom work) is that Rebecca is now napping in her bed. Thankfully that transition went very smoothly. Bedtime...that's a whole different story. But so far naps are good :) We also had a fun girls' day out yesterday, painting pottery, shopping, and going out for dinner. We got a new bouncy seat, cloth wipes, a nursing bracelet and soap. Thanks so much ladies!! I was busy in the kitchen. I made a batch of oatmeal muffins, froze 6 lbs. of butter, made chocolate chip bars, dried apples, pancake muffins, crispy almonds, crispy pecans, 2 cakes (for Rebecca's birthday), gf muesli scones, almond butter, mayo, gf cinnamon bun muffins, graham crackers, 2 enchilada bakes (for the freezer) and 2 pizzas (1 for the freezer). I also finished making cloth wipes and wrapped birthday presents.
This week we don't have many places to go, but there is still plenty to do. With only 5 weeks before the baby and less than 2 weeks before the birthday party we'll be busy. Today is church. Monday
Aside from that here's what's on my list for this week - pack hospital bag, clean baby toys, freeze soup, make sd english muffins, make noodles, make crispy macadamia nuts, prep some party food (sloppy joes and scones), freeze a batch of fish sticks, make gf apple bars, make gf granola, make a birthday dessert for Justin (either just pudding or a trifle w/ homemade pudding), make a batch of goulash to freeze and whatever other baking we can squeeze in for work/gymnastics/km treats.
Hoping to get a lot done this week. Hopefully my body will hold up another week yet :P My leg swelling has definitely picked up over the past few days. So I should probably try to put my feet more often. Tough to do, though, when you're busy and on your own. We'll see what the week brings. Here's what's on the menu.

The tile work looks great! Meals sound yummy, too. Did the contractor cancel on the finishing work? Hopefully he can come out soon! Good luck this week, I'm sure you'll do great! Hope Rebecca sleeps well at night for you, though.
ReplyDeleteHe never knows his schedule until the day before/day of. So Justin talked to him at church yesterday...and he changed from Monday to Wednesday. I just want it done!
