I just did my monthly goal post a few days ago. So I don't have much to add/update today. Social stuff...my parents are coming today, I'm meeting a friend for a playdate tomorrow, we have Kindermusik on Wed. and we might go to a pumpkinfest on Saturday. For a project with Rebecca if I can find some good, dry leaves outside we might use those to do some rubbing or make a placemat. And maybe I can have her help with some baking this week.
I went to a big used clothes/toy sale yesterday and got Rebecca a bunch of fall/winter clothes and some books...so cheap! So I need to organize her drawers now...take out the summer stuff, put in the winter stuff. Hopefully I'll have time for that some afternoon this week while she's napping. I need to organize my drawers and closet too. I tried on some old clothes the other day...and they fit again! So I have to see what is too small now and what fits again and get things organized.
MOPS started on Friday. I already met a lot of great women, and I'm very excited to get to know some of them better.
Hopefully Justin and I can sit down and do some planning this week for other events in Oct. We'll be going to Grand Blanc sometime after my sister has her baby. And we'd like to schedule another date night :) I heard about some new restaurants that use fresh, local, organic food. We might check one out.
Rebecca and I finally get to go to church again. She was up in the night for a bit again for some reason...not sure why it always seems to be Sat. night? But an hour of rocking with Mommy and she was out cold...and so was Mommy for a bit ;) She's still sleeping now, so at least she's getting caught up.
I think that's it for this week. We'll stay plenty busy I'm sure.
Glad you guys are considering trying out Pumpkinfest this year, too! I remember you didn't have a very favorable opinion of it last year when I'd mentioned it, so I'm glad that has changed! Yay!! :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like you made out at the M2M sale - those things are awesome, aren't they? I love them!
And I know I've told you about them before, but if you google Flat River Grill (its in Lowell), they're part of a group of restaurants that focus on using locally grown, in-season, and organic when possible produce. And they're food is amazing (well we've only ever been to FRG, but I'm sure the others are awesome, too!)!! They're located all over and around the GR area. Just another place you could add to a list for future date nights, maybe. :)
