I did end up making a batch of homemade mayo yesterday. I forgot how easy that is. I used it to make some egg salad. And I also used it to make honey mustard dressing. I've had this recipe for years, but haven't made it recently. Now I have 2 of my favorite salad dressings on hand...and both homemade. I'm excited that now I can make all 3 of my favorites (french, honey mustard, thousand island). So easy and so much healthier. Bring on the salad!
I had a hard time taking a picture of the dressing in the container. But at least I got a picture of it on my salad. This recipe makes a small batch. You can double or triple the recipe if you're making it for a group/family.
Honey Mustard Dressing
1/4 cup mayo (preferably homemade)
1 - 2 Tbsp. raw honey
1 Tbsp. mustard
Mix all of the ingredients in a small mason jar. Mix. Refrigerate.
Mmmm... I love honey mustard dressing! It is my #2 choice after ranch. I will definitely have to make this.
ReplyDeleteI need to make some more mayo. I made some a couple weeks ago, but it didn't turn out. Not sure what I did differently than I have in the past. I was pretty bummed, though. But I haven't had the time to make another batch since... and didn't want to make it before our trip, anyway.

ReplyDeleteI never did make this version of honey mustard dressing. It was really good on Sunday! I'm going to make it very soon... I liked it better than the way I've made it in the past. Yum!
